I know that you would like the romantic proposal from him and if that is important to you, then you should probably wait on it. There is nothing wrong with that thinking. On the other hand, if you want to move this along, then maybe you should take the lead. Only you know how he will respond so take that into consideration. It's not unreasonable for you to want to be married after 3 years of togetherness. I think you're ready. VOE

just go for it!!! just set things down with him and explain yourself, tell him you don't want wait more, because you're ready!. Maybe he's waiting because don't have money for the ring, or isn't sure about doing the thing right now, he see things for the future to come, no the future around the corner. But if you're completly sure, just tell him what's going on! :)
