I have known this guy since I was a sophomore in high school.. and we have always been close. He will randomly invite me over to hang with him and his family and we are always flirty. We go through phases of talking a lot then hardly talking.. and I kind of like him so I don't know what to think.

Don't play the game where you go around him and ask others if they think he likes you. Be direct and mature about this. Really, it isn't that hard. And what do you mean by commit? You are a long way from any commitment. You're just trying to get past the buddy stage. Don't get in such a hurry. You are making a lot of assumptions without having even told him how you feel. Okay! --This is the author of this "dilemma" but I am really close to his siblings as well so should I mention something to his brother the next time we hangout or should I just see how things go the next time we hangout and then tell this person directly? Because I am not sure he wants to commit right now.. so I am kinda stuck!

I also think that he is keeping you in the friend zone so that he is not risking anything and he will not potentialy get hurt. Get past it by telling him that you really like him! Brandon
