Talking, how to do it??

I have such a hard time talking to girls. Not even to ask them out but just to even talk to them. My friends are starting to think I am gay && I guess I cant blame them. But girls make me nervous. What is weird is that my best friend since age 8 has been a girl! No probs talking to her!

You just need to fake it. Even if you are nervous, the girl you are talking to will not know that...your little secret! Try to get girls to talk about themselves and be very interested in what they have to say. Olivia

I agree that you need to try to talk to a girl with your best friend by your side. Not only can she help you along, but later she call tell you what you did right or wrong. Jess

Try out your skills on your best friend who is a girl. Even ask for her input. Even better --- ask her to introduce her to a friend and try to talk to the friend with your BFF standing near you, offering support. Troy

The first time that I jumped off a high dive, I was terrified. The second time, I was scared. The third time, I was nervous. The fourth time, I kind of enjoyed it. Whatever it is that scares you, you have to do it and do it over and over to get over your fear. Make your first few conversations short and about a specific topic. Keep increasing the time that you spend talking to girls and slowly expand the conversation. You'll get there. VOE
