Talent Free BF Who is Totally Needy

I have been with my BF for almost a year and love him with all my heart. He is a guitar player in a band that plays a few times a month at a pub in town. No offense by the band is awful. Really and truly bad bad bad bad. I go to see him play and literally wanna bring earplugs. What to do?!

Does he have any real aspirations, or does he think he is going to be a famous musician? Tell him the truth otherwise ten years from now you are still going to have to listen to the same crap. You dont have to be rude about it, but just tell him its not your style, but you support him, you just dont want to listen to it.

You don't have to stay if it gets really bad. When you reallllyy feel the need to say something, wait for a time when their playing is EXTRA bad, and walk out of the pub. It'll be a conversation starter to address this issue. He can man up and take it.

If it really bothers you that much, then just be honest, what could it hurt? His feelings? HA, he will get over it. Trust me. He will appreciate your honesty in the long run, trust me.

Honesty is the best policy. If you've already lied to him and said they were great, and you try to be honest, he'll probably get upset because you've been lying t o him. But if you haven't said anything, it's best to be honest about it as soon as possible. This is a big thing in his life, so to lie to him would really hurt him.

You should go to all of his concerts and always sit in the front row and always clap really loud and always tell him that he is the best thing ever!

You are the girlfriend, not his music critic. If his band is really as bad as you say, they will get the message when their gigs dry up. That is the nature of the music business. There is no need for you to trample on him by telling how bad of a musician he is. VOE

He is your BF so you have a duty to totally support him, even if he is no good at playing the guitar. You would want the same support from him so just go see him play when you can!
