Siblings Bonding

My wife believes it is a good idea to leave our teenagers home alone this weekend. They are 17, 15, 14. The oldest two are Eagle Scouts and the 14yr old is an athletic girl.They are all great kids but have impulse issues.She thinks if we leave them alone they will bond.They do not always get along.

I would certainly go, but have either a place for the youngest to escape to if needed, (friends house to sleep over etc) As the youngest in a house of 3, I should never have been left alone with an older brother and his friends...I wish my parents had known better...

it's just a weekend..think of it as a test of trust..if they pass, good..if not , you'll know for next time...you gotta make mistakes to learn from them!..but hopefully all will end up fine!

both my younger brother and i have been able to stay home alone since i was 14 and we hav always been fine. they are definately old enough to be home alone your oldest is nearly an adult!!
