Break up with my girlfriend?

Me and my girl have been going out for 2 years. I love her so much, but she is to controlling, clingy and well obsessed. I have tried to talk to her but it just doesn't work. She makes me feel miserable half the time. But other times I love her so much and just want to be with her. What should I do?

Let me get this straight: You're miserable half the time because of her? Half? I think your self esteem is in trouble as much as hers. Your job in a loving relationship is to put her happiness before your own. Her job is to put yours ahead of her own. It sounds like she isn't living up to her end of the bargain. She wants to control you but she doesn't really love you. I know. I've been in your shoes. Sorry buddy.

i will tell you honestly, i was like that in my first serious relationship.. i was like that because i didn't trust my partner and i had a fear of losing him. after 2 yrs or so i got over it but i ended up falling in love with someone else. she may get over it and be really great, she may never get over it, or it could turn out how my relatioship did. time will tel and if it's meant to work out it will.

they usually do that because of low-confidence, trust issues. controlling people are hard to 'change' ....but worth a talk

I've known a girl like that who did change; but it took years, and she needed to gain a lot more self-confidence.
