i was "talking" to this guy for about a month & left for a cruise last week. he told my bff he was going to ask me out when he got back from his cruise. he got back the other day & didn't call or text. he told my bff's bf that he had sex with another girl on the cruise & i haven't talkd to him.

Talking implies no level of commitment at all. He went on a cruise and hooked up. He has no girlfriend. IF you try to connect with him now, you will seem desperate. There is a rumor that he would ask you out when he returned. I suggest that you wait and see if he does but don't pass up any other opportunities while you wait. You seem to have built up a lot of hope over something that you heard second hand. That seems a little desperate, too. VOE
