What if you found out that he lied to you? How would you feel? You just know that at some point, the truth will come out. Do you want to be the one to tell him or do you want him to find out from somewhere else? You've painted yourself into a corner and there is no good way out of this except to fess up and hope that he is a forgiving person. VOE
