Have a serious conversation with your parents about why you areare able to be trusted. Tell them you have done nothing wrong. Tell them that you are growing up. Tell them that you have a right to some freedom. Kat

If you have done something wrong in the past then you need to own it -- you need to step up and tell them you were wrong and try harder to be reliable -- and then prove that you are worthy of their trust.

You need to prove to your parents that you are trustworthy. Really think about your situation and try to recall if there is any reason that they would not trust you. If the real answer is "no", that you have never done anything sneaky, then just talk to them. BradJackson

It is telling that you refer to yourself as "only" 12 so you know that you're too young to be having as much freedom as, say, a 16 year old. Your parents see you more as a child than even as a teenager, never mind as an adult, so naturally they are going to treat you more like you are a kid. And they should. There are two forces at work pulling in opposite directions. You are trying to break free of parental control, and they are trying to hold on to it. That's how it is for everyone. You will win. Eventually. The best way to gain more control over your life is simply to deal with your parents in an honest, OPEN, and respectful way so that they can see that you are a responsible person worthy of more freedom.
