My boyfriend wants to pop the question!! But I'm too young.

We've been together for almost 6 years (high school lovers :)) We've had our ups and downs, some break-ups and make-ups, now the "will you marry me?" I'm only 20 years old and do not know what to do, but I do know that I love him. Help..??

i'd say yes...don't let him down by saying no if you really want to say yes. bt ask yourself could he survive through a situation like that if you said no, would you still be together?...like they say what and if are harmless words until you put them together... i'd say yes and give it a long engagement before you get married...no one says getting engaged means you have to get married that second. good luck

You should only get married when you are BOTH ready, don't feel pressured into such a big decision. If he loves and wants to be with you for the rest of your life it shouldn't matter whether you get married tomorrow or in 5 years time

You obviously don't want to get married now so saying YES would be a lie. Usually a guy won't ask a girl to marry him unless he is convinced that she will accept. Normally, the two of them have had long and frequent discussions about future plans so that both know the expectations of the other. I'm wondering why he doesn't realize that you aren't ready right now. What makes him think that you are? You need to head this off by talking more honestly about your thoughts on marriage so that he knows when the time is right, if ever. VOE
