My mother told me she hates me a few times.Today she told me she does not love me. my mom was nervous once, dad said: This is all because of u. Since i am the problem in the family i thought of leaving, but i have nowhere 2 go. I would if i had. I try 2 talk 2 her, but she does not understand.

I don't see any choice except to hang in for awhile -- I mean, you can't go live on your own. Try to make the best of what you have and stay away from your mom as much as you can. Mimi

If you are young and you live at home I don't know what your options are. Do you have a grandparents you can stay with for awhile? Maybe an aunt? This is really very bad parenting on behalf of your mother...once you say those words, you really can't take them back! Lynda

This sounds just awful and your father should be told about this. Tell him how terribly this is hurting you and demand that he speak to your mother about her very unmotherlike behavior. Vicki

Spend time away from the house. Talk to your mum. Talk to your dad. Talk to someone who knowz how much this is hurting u.

It sounds as though your mother is being very cruel to you and there is no excuse for this. Your family and your home is supposed to be your soft place to fall, not a place to have your heart torn apart. Talk to your father and be clear on the way that this is making you feel. Also talk to your guidance counselor at school. Devin

Your age is important but you don't give that information in your post. Also, you don't mention why your mother says these things. Is it just as part of everyday conversation or is it when she's really upset about something? If so, what upsets her? Your mother is not the first to tell her daughter that she hates her, but it is usually part of an emotional moment when mom is really upset about something. There is a lot that you're not telling so it's difficult to make a comment. VOE
