listen to my husband or not

I have a gym that has day-care available and it would be so easy for me to go work out if I could take my two year old but my husband told me no because he doesn't trust people! Should I take him anyways since my husband is at work and would never know or listen to him and NOT go behind his back?

See if your husband is willing to go to your gym and check out the security of the daycare for himself. The gym is a business and if they want to continue to make money, they can't risk their reputation and should have all kinds of safeguards in place for daycare. Background checks on staff, references, identification procedures, all kinds of security. Maybe your husband is right and maybe you are right but both of you should check it out first. Don't go behind his back. He will likely find out some day and there goes the trust. VOE

I voted for the opposite but after reading these comments I totally understand the other side. I would say just think of every possible 'problem' your husband has with the situation and find a solution. Have your husband hear you out and ask that you guys give it a try.

i know this is an easy thing to say for me becacuse i'm just an outsider, but you really should forget him. after all, you're not gonna marry him or anything, all you're doing is wasting your time. time you could be spending in search of somebody who is better for you

How would you feel if you felt he was leaving your child with supervision that you felt was questional? Think about how hurt you would be, and don't lie. Find proper childcare that you can both agree on for an hour or two, go in the evening, or try calisthenics/at-home exercise like Zumba!

Don't open a can of worms by lying, there's nothing worse than lying to your spouse. I take my son to the gym all the time, and they are incredible with security, and the treatment of the kids. After four years, we've never had a problem, and it's a great social setting for him.
