I WANT HIGHLIGHTS, but i think my skin/hair is too dark :)

i have really dark skin (I'm black) and dark black hair and i want highlights... and sugestions for colors or is my hair and skin to dark for highlights? PLEASE LEAVE A COMENT! hugs and kisses, thanks guys. and if you think i can't get highlights, may you just leave me a comment saying why? <3

I don't think you can get highlights if your hair is really dark but try to have a consultation with your stylist and get her opinion. JD

You can still get highlights, but it should only be a few shades lighter than your natural hair color. A good colorist at a nice salon can give you some great suggestions. Brandon

I know nothing about highlights but I know that it's your hair. If you want to try highlights, do it. If it fails, it will grow out. That's the beauty of hair. VOE

if you're really dark you can do highlights but brown ones, i think that with dark color will be great :) don't do any bright color like blond because don't go well with your skin type... choose a brunette look, but don't try to be lauren conrad!
