I totally don't know what to do.

There's one guy I like, but he dated one of my friends for a little while. I don't know if I should talk to her about it, and see if she can help me out, or not? I don't want to make her feel uncomfortable or bad. I'm kinda shy, so I don't want to just go up and talk to him randomly.

Talk to her but if she starts telling you << your making a mistake>> or whatever tell her that youll take that chance and that its not up to her to decide wheather or not to date that guy. Also flirt with him to make it seem more obvious that you like him. <33

What is there to talk about? Do you need permission? If she is no longer seeing him then he is fair game, especially if she happens to be seeing someone else. If you think it best to let her know ahead of time of your interest in him, do so but not in an "I'm asking permission" context. VOE
