i dont know what to do

my cat is the king of the house he used to go out side all the time and he would come back, he would leave at tops 1 week, and now we have gotten 3 new cats and they are inside cats, they never leave inside, and i dont wan to let my cat out side anymore incase he dosent come back do u think he will?

I have multiple cats and one that is insistent on going outside. He's proven that he is street smart and comes home every few hours to eat etc so I allow him to go out. The others stay indoors. I'm going to try to fashion a dog pen type thing outside in the yard - with a top on it so that I can allow them outside w/out them leaving our yard.

I was in the same situation. My vet told me I shouldn't let the cat outside anymore because they can pick up diseases from the mice they eat, etc. and bring it inside to the other cats. Btw, many illnesses are shared through their saliva, so if all your cats eat from the same or each other's bowl, sickness can easily spread.
