my friend seems to like me but he never actually said and last night he told me that he is afraid to hurt who could be his girlfriend, what should I do? I don't know if he refers to me and I really like him but i'm not sure if he likes me

If you like him: Sit down and talk with him. Tell him that you are not sure what you are feeling, but you think you want to be more than friends. Try to make it out as a new development (that you are starting to like him. See what he says. That way you protect yourself and get the information that you need. If you don't like him: keep with friendship until he brings it up. Then let him down easy.

Why don't you ask him who he is talking about? Just ask him, "Who were you talking about when you said that you were afraid of hurting someone who could be your girlfriend?" It's a legitimate question since he wasn't being clear. This isn't that hard to solve. VOE

Well, if you really think that you're the one he is talking about, talk to him about it. If you really like him (like like, not friendship like) and you're the one he's talking about, then you could try it. But be careful, because it is you're friendship and you could be breaking it. Ed
