Felon Brother - Report or Not Report

My brother has been hanging out at the local home for the mentally ill (he is normal). He has started 'dating' a woman there, but he lies to her, uses a fake name, etc. And he takes money from her, based on the lies ("I need to make a car payment"). This is a felony because she is disabled.

Call the social worker at the home and tip her off

You at least need to issue one warning to your brother prior to any real action. If he keeps up his felonious ways, then call the local sherrif and let them know.

Call the police department and explain what has been going on and then let them take it from there. Do not be pressured by family who wants to give him a break -- he does not deserve it!!Troy

I think that this is just terrible what he is doing and he should be ashamed of himself. You need to let someone know what he is doing becase this is awful and cruel. PRD

His actions are inexcusable. Here is the ultimatum that you give him. He must pay her back all of the money that he has swindled from her and he must break off his relationship with her completely. If not, you go to both the social worker and the police. Don't back down if he refuses. VOE
