So my family and this guy's family have been friends for years, he's 22 and i'm almost 16. we're just friends but my family thinks that some day we will be together or date or something, we flirt sometimes but i don't know what he thinks of me? COMMMENT!

In this case age matters because he is an adult while you are still a teenager or almost even a child. He is too old for you. Keep the friendship going and try for a romance in 2 or 3 years. Kat

Age matters and this is just wrong. If you were 30 and he was 36 it would not be a big deal, but there is no way that you should even consider being with him until you are at least 18 and probably even closer to 20. Sierra

Six years is a lot and it's hard to believe that he considers you a serious prospect. Sure, he likes the flirting. He would like that even if he was 52 years old so don't put any value on his flirting. He may even find you to be a turn on. After all, young girls are hot. Again, that doesn't mean he thinks of you in a serious relationship way. I think you would be better off staying with your own age group. VOE

Well, to some people age is a big thing. But to me age is just a number. But in some cases it can be a little crazy. In your case, i think its perfectly fine to flirt and everything because both his, and your family encourages it. He is 22 and may not look at a 16 year old like that, but if he does, then go for it. :)
