My dad wont let me near any guy, i want t o date this guy but he's like no not until you finish university and i just finished elementary school Please tell me what to do! He wont listen to what i say

Yes, I have some suggestions. When you say you are going to be somewhere, be where you say and don't sneak off somewhere else. Let him know who you will be with. Call in once in a while just to check in. Talk to him like an adult, not a whiny kid. Take advantage of any and all school activities (sports, dances, field trips) and make sure that he knows about them (when, where, who). He will eventually see that you are a responsible person and not a dumb kid. Basically, be honest with him at all times. Trust comes from honesty. VOE

He's only looking out for and trying to protect you from being hurt/mistreated. For sure you can go against him and date guys, but if you end up being hurt, you can't expect him to be there to support you...

So now you're in middle school and you've become an expert on dating and know more about it than your dad, right? The one who won't listen is you, your dad has all of the experience and knowledge here, not you. He will losen up in time but don't be so quick to dismiss his concerns. If you secretly date, it will destroy any trust that he has in you, and yes, he will find out. You need to build trust, not destroy it. It's a long process but you need to show him that you are responsible and mature. For now, listen to the expert, and that is your dad. VOE
