I don't really know what "pretty much together without the label" means but it sounds like you two didn't really have an established exclusive relationship. What happens when you don't have an exclusive relationship? You have the implied permission to check out others and that is exactly what he did. Now you're mad about it. This is why you need the "label" and you need a complete understanding and agreement of what your relationship is. "Pretty much together" doesn't define much. VOE
